The 3-4" snowfall overnight apparently has prompted this Junco to decide that it was time to make use of the perch on the thistle feeder rather than scratch through all that new snow!
Isn't he clever? This little guy is a problem solver.
Today there have been: ♂ Northern Flicker, ♂ Pileated Woodpecker, Chickadees & Nuthatches, Hairy & Downy Woodpeckers and Pine Siskins at the feeders. Lacking American Goldfinches; but perhaps that's no surprise in this kind of cold & snowy weather.
