The Large-flowered Trilliums have begun to bloom in the 'Shady' Garden as well as out in the open woods.
They are the most elegant of the early spring ephemerals.
Loaded with a heavy yellow pollen that doesn't go flying off on a breeze; but rather dribbles all over itself. Rather inelegant behavior.
