In our shady garden, N of garage, the Minnesota state flower, the Showy Ladyslipper has begun to bloom.
It is such a regal ladyslipper orchid.
We're experiencing a cool, dry spring. And this particular ladyslipper would prefer the soil be more moist.
It also likes to have some calcium in the soil.
