While I'm dreamin' of spring, can't help but think of the many times migration has brought this golden talisman to our feeders. His song is so sweet; and he seems to be everywhere I am! Up N at the cabin, he's chowing down on mealworms. Home in Hudson, he's feasting on the grape jelly and/or more mealworms.
Certainly can't be following me 60 miles to and fro. And then one day, we realize he's no longer around. He has gone off to do what birds must do.
