While spending the afternoon indoors today, I was thinking about what is most likely the all time favorite indoor blooming plant.
The original old-time version of the African Violet was the traditional single, lavender colored blossom.
This was my sister-in-law, Wendy's, plant.

Unfortunately while she's wintering in Brownsville, I've managed to kill her Violet ! ! !
Or perhaps our cold, wintery weather caused it to commit suicide. ?
